Convenient location near train station. Upgraded room had no outside view. Receptionist kind & helpful. Breakfast & dinner times suited family with baby. Personal checked us in earlier without charge. Child's side-bed narrower but comfortable. Overall good value, including DVD player & free movie rentals.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was incredibly convenient, just a few minutes walk from the train station and close to the city center. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a spacious and clean superior double room that included a DVD player and free movie rentals. The breakfast buffet was above average, with plenty of choices to satisfy all tastes. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in earlier at no extra cost. this hotel provided great value for money and made my stay in this city enjoyable and comfortable.

Additionally, it is within walking distance to the pier, providing convenient access for those embarking on cruises or boat tours. Although there may not be a wide selection of restaurants in the immediate area, the hotel offers a delicious breakfast with plenty of options to start your day off right.

Given the high prices of food (and everything else) in Norway, the Grand Olav's breakfast buffet, "light" dinner buffet, waffles, and coffee drinks were a big help in keeping down our expenses. The location is excellent - across the street from a sas Flybussen bus stop (a great way to get to/from the Trondheim airport) and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Our rooms faced the narrow cobble stone street side of the building and were quiet. We walked to all the sights we wanted to visit.

The staff at Clarion Collection Hotel Grand Olav were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I was impressed by their willingness to assist and their genuine kindness. The location of the hotel is also excellent, situated in a central area with easy access to various attractions. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed and a well-maintained bathroom. The breakfast offered a good variety of delicious food options. I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel for its service and convenience.

Enjoyed the scramble eggs for breakfast, despite not usually liking them. Basic room was sufficient, great deal with the food options. Good breakfast and enjoyable evening meal, staff could improve on ensuring enough food for all guests.

I recently stayed at a hotel in the central area for one night and had a great experience. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location was perfect. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom seemed newly refurbished and clean. The breakfast had a good variety and tasted delicious. I also appreciated the small extras, such as free tea and coffee, DVDs for rent, and even an included evening meal. it was a good choice for the price I paid.

Included in room price was a afternoon snack, an evening buffet served between .6.00 and 9.00 and a good variety of hot and cold food was offered .other Norwegian hotels should follow this idea as Norway is an exceptionally expensive country.
